As the defending champions for two consecutive years, Sunrisers chased down a target of 176 runs with four balls to spare. The final will be held tomorrow (Saturday) in Johannesburg, where Mumbai Indians will face Cape Town.

Paarl Royals, batting first, set a target of 176/4 in 20 overs. Herman Ruin and Pretorius played excellent innings, with Ruin scoring an unbeaten 81 and Pretorius contributing 59 runs.

In the Sunrisers' bowling attack, Craig Overton and Markram took a wicket each, restricting Royals to the target of 176 runs. Sunrisers lost David Beddingham early in the chase, but Tony De Jorji and Jordan Herman built a disciplined partnership, adding 111 runs. De Jorji scored 78 runs before being dismissed, but Herman remained unbeaten on 81, guiding Sunrisers to victory. Along with captain Markram, who scored 11* not out, they added an unbroken 69-run partnership for the third wicket, leading Sunrisers to their third final.

This victory has propelled Sunrisers into the final, and the team, having already won the SA20 title twice, is aiming for a consecutive third title.
