"Show-cause notice to Teenmaar Mallanna."

The Telangana Congress party has issued a show-cause notice to MLC Teenmaar Mallanna. Recently, he set fire to the caste census report released by the state government. After several complaints were received from the party cadre and OBC organizations regarding this incident, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC) issued this notice. Mallanna has been asked to submit an explanation within a week. DAC Chairman G. Chinnareddy stated that if a response is not received by February 12, strict actions would be taken according to the party's constitution.

On February 4, just hours after Chief Minister Revanth Reddy released the caste census report in the assembly, Teenmaar Mallanna openly burned it. Mallanna commented that the report was a conspiracy to harm the interests of backward classes.

The show-cause notice mentions that Mallanna used inappropriate language about the caste census policy formulated by party leader Rahul Gandhi. It also accuses him of attempting to fulfill his own agenda without adhering to party rules. The notice states that as a member of the Legislative Council, Mallanna violated Congress party rules and guidelines. The party had helped him win the MLC seat from the Warangal, Khammam, and Nalgonda Graduate Constituency by providing him with a ‘BB’ form. However, he is now acting against the party.

The notice also points out that Telangana is the first state to complete the caste census, making history. Despite this, Teenmaar Mallanna has stated that he will never accept the report, calling it a conspiracy that would destroy the future of backward classes. He alleged that the statistics in the report are fake and that backward communities would not tolerate them. He also claimed that 40 lakh backward castes were not considered in the survey. While the population of backward classes is 60%, the government has shown it as 46%, and despite showing the population of other castes (OC) as 15%, in reality, they are only 8%, Mallanna stated. The Congress party is expected to take a crucial decision on this controversy soon.
